Promoting Social Inclusion Through Basic Skills Learning
Start date: Oct 1, 2002,
Contributing to the development of an inclusive adult learning society and targeting socially disadvantaged and less well-educated groups in society, partners from 8 European countries came together to provide basic skills practitioners - and other support organisations working with the target groups - with a series of innovative tools for basic skills training, each able to be used across a range of differing social and cultural contexts. Gathering tools, materials and expertise from across the partner countries, good or interesting practice in the delivery of basic skills training was both identified and widely promoted. A further goal of the project was that of shaping future strategies for the delivery of basic skills training, with policy makers actively targeted.
