PROGRAMA DE VOLUNTARIADO INTERNACIONAL
PROGRAMA DE VOLUNTARIADO INTERNACIONAL
Start date: Jul 1, 2015,
End date: Jul 31, 2016
PROJECT
FINISHED
The INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTARY PROGRAM is designed in the context of consolidation of the internationalization of Fundación IUVE and the participating organizations, with regard to strengthening the relationships between partners, as well as the intention to address the lack of solidarity and interest in volunteering while focusing on more Europe, more values and more social integrity in order to combat the challenges we face in the current situation.
The main object of THE INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTARY PROGRAM is to promote the personal, professional and social-educational development of young people who will experience a formal and informal way of learning while contributing to the daily work of Fundación IUVE. The documents of the SVE concerning the project design are well-considered, so that the specific objectives focus on promoting an intercultural dimension, participatory and active working development, acquisition of skills by the volunteers and a given support regarding their professional development.
In Fundación IUVE, we believe that, in spite of being open to all kind of young people, the profile of young persons who fit in the best with our activities, composition and mission includes people aged 18 to 30. The young people integrate themselves and feel like a part of the team as well as participating in the group of volunteers. All this would match a profile which is similar to the participants we are looking for.
THE INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTARY PROGRAM watches over the acquisition of skills that are mainly based on informal learning, even though it also includes the non-formal way of learning.
There are many skills which are acquired over several months through such a learning process but it also seems important to us to incide in the acquisition and to improve skills related to teamwork, as well as the acceptance of diversity by generating multicultural environments, oral and written communication, planning and organization of work, management of digital, computer and Internet-related tools, and the understanding and collaboration in logistics issues.
The expected impact on participants is directly related to the process of non-formal learning and to the skills acquired as a result of a direct contact with groups with special needs. Taking part in an activity of high-minded and intercultural dialogue will cause in young people a positive transformation, especially in their perceptions about cultural diversity, European awareness, social difference, self-empowerment, sense initiative and, as a consequence, employability. In addition, the skills acquired throughout the months of the project implementation, both personal and professional development, as well as language improvement, will allow participants to have more chance about their future work with a greater guarantee of professional success.
The impact on the participating organizations will focus on its international openness and will increase, for those organizations, the ability to operate at an international level. Moreover it will represent missions and values available to young groups. In addition, a significant impact for the participant organizations will be expressed in strengthening relations between them and their internationalization, leading to future collaborations into European projects developed within the program.
Based on the posterior and coordinated outreach program outcomes, is desirable an impact at local and national level extensible nationally and internationally, focused on a raising awareness above the national and international environment of the European project, as well as the values of the EU, the cultural diversity, the non-formal and informal learning and social needs.
