The cluster Escolas Rainha Santa Isabel (RSI) - Carreira, is in a disadvantaged rural area, where events / opportunities, of cultural, sports and social nature, are scarce and are not available to everyone and where unemployment is a reality. This cluster currently has 120 teachers, divided by the pre-school, 1st, 2nd, 3rd cycles, special education teachers and psychologists. It also has 1295 students, of which 98 are students with special educational needs. In this context, we designed this project "form-ação" which aims to promote a lot of training and simultaneously involve a lot of action in this cluster. The mobility of a considerable number of educators in diverse English language training is considered by KA1 team as an unique opportunity to lead our school to a level of excellence and make a difference in the preparation of our students as European citizens and promote an effective internationalization of our school. The main objectives of this project are as follows:- improving the teaching and learning of languages;- developing an integrated language learning (CLIL);- Improving key competences and skills, keeping in mind the sustainability of knowledge;- promoting the use of innovative and differentiated teaching methods;- promoting environmental sustainability;- improving the quality of creation, innovation, excellence and internationalization of the cluster;- promoting equity and inclusion in order to facilitate training in different educational systems and cultural contexts for teachers of different educational levels;- innovativing strategies to increase the level of special education;- increasing the levels of motivation and satisfaction of teachers;- developing management processes and cluster leadership in order to improve the quality and efficiency of the cluster;- developing the European dimension of the cluster. To achieve these objectives there will be training opportunities for about 30% of our educators, who will be selected according to the stipulated selection criteria:- teachers who attend successfully english courses before the beginning of the process of mobility;- balance and representativeness of all subject areas as well as the various levels of education;- teachers willing to prepare themselves, by creating a personal improvement plan, to improve future educational standards in the cluster as well as spreading the knowledge acquired during the training.Participants may attend structured courses and seminars or chose the modality of jobshadowing, observing best practices, in accordance with the diagnosed needs. This program will be implemented in a phased process which identifies: 1. -necessidades and aspirations of the participants; 2. - preparing the mobility / initial training in English; 3. - mobility / external training; 4. - evaluation and dissemination / application of knowledge acquired. All these phases will be checked through different evaluation procedures that will enable a quality control feedback.Through the provided training the following results / impacts are expected:- Reducing early school leaving;- Transformation of the cluster by turning it more attractive, less monotonous, as well as enhance creativity and innovation;- Improvement in management and school leadership;- Improving the prestige of the cluster in the region / country. These impacts on the cluster are a result of the impacts caused to participants:- Acquisition of key competencies: cultural, linguistic and ICT;- Knowledge of educational systems of the participating countries, as well as, comparative study of these (differences similarities variety of approaches and methods of teaching / learning, teaching philosophies etc);- Improvement in the context of project management and sharing of results;- Sharing of experiences and of best practices;- Promotion of intercultural dimension of education. The benefits that we expect in a mid term, we want a school where the English language is a natural tool for work and which prepares students to face the challenges of a global labour market, in what considers language, technological and civic level. These benefits point to excellent results and are motivational strategies for teachers and for students, minimizing the risk of early school leaving.
