Professional transcultural nursing
Background:
European societies are undergoing major changes, they are und become diverse and heterogeneous. This is not without consequences for the people with need of care
Project objectives:
Greater internationalisation of nursing education
Promote cross-cultural competence of trainees in care
Enhance the language skills of future nurses
Development of nursing education with regard to the social upheaval
To position ourself as an attractive training facility in the Stuttgart region

Profile:
Students of nursing, junior high school graduates and high school graduates,
Activity
The student will have the opportunity to do an internship in Europe
Project implementation
Transcultural nursing, migration and health are treated in the classes and lessons
Trainees will be informed in a central event of the possible mobility projects.
A multi-level application and selection process begins
Partner organisations will be contacted and organisational issues resolved
The students spend four weeks within an institution of the health system in the host country (Belgium, United Kingdom, France, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Austria)
They will give a presentation to their class about their time abroad
They are the contact for trainees / students who graduate from abroad in Stuttgart for an internship
About education fairs and the public relations department of the Klinikum Stuttgart, the results of the mobility will be made known a wider public.
