The Professional Development Programme, in cooperation with our partner, the European College of Business and Management in London/GB contains of several phases (preparation, carrying out and revision of Work) and is aimed at the following participants: - business managers, in their first year of study - computer technicians, machine builders and electronic technicians, in their first year of study - commercial assistants, in their first year of study This project is offered during the first year, as students have no exams and have more time at their disposal to acquire a deeper Knowledge of English and business studies. For the participants the deepening of the English language as well as an extension of their competencies at a Eurpean level is an important point with regards to their professional future. The necessity for learning business English as well as business skills is clearl given. Intercultural competencies acquired durin the programme extent their knowledge of English and provides the necessary business know-how. The PDP Programme is an additional qulification, which plays an increasing role in their job application. Aims of PDP Programme:´ - improvement and deepening of business English knowledge, with a practical approach through project work in association with German and English companies - acquisition of intercultural competencies - acquisition of business competencies through the project work - preparation for an intership in Britain during their second year of study Expected results: - LCCI exam in Business English, Level 1 or 2, depending on their achieved success - completed project work in association with German and British companies - acquisition of the KIC certificate which is recognized by German and British companies - acquisition of Europass-Mobility as proof of their European language , professional and intercultural competencies
