The project entitled “Professionalism - passport for young Europeans” addresses a number of 10 students that are in initial vocational education and training at the Stefan Pascu Technical High School, level 3, 10th grade, qualifying as technician in commercial activities. It has as main objectives the improvement of students' skills and getting future commercial workers acquainted with European principles for commercial activities, where the focus is on professionalism, the transfer of best practices and the change in mentalities concerning the correct implementation of European principles on the quality of work. The internship carried out in Greece would offer students an opportunity to benefit from continuous learning in order to improve their own performance, to take advantage of the specialized training that is close to and directly integrated in the real environment of the labor market , to assess their level of competence in accordance with the requirements for a workplace in Europe.The Transnational partnership comprises Stefan Pascu Technical School as a beneficiary of the project and " Ipodomi center for lifelong learning " -Thessaloniki (Municipality of Neapolis - Sykies ), Greece .The internship is in concordance with the contents of the 4th module of practical training "Commercial activities " module which is assigned nine weeks, according to the curriculum approved by Annex . 1 OMEdC no. 3684/2015 for 3-year vocational education, general vocational training field: Commerce , comerciant- seller .The project will run for a period of 1 year , with an internship period of two weeks to a total of 10 students and 1 accompanying teacher in June 2017.The objectives of our project are:1. Development of general technical vocational skills specific to the commercial field through professional activities and practical training in a European area 2. Acquisition of key transferable skills and practical skills required by business activities for the prospect of employment 3. Improve performance so that the future workers of commerce are connected to European employment principles that place great emphasis on professionalism4. Improvement of the mastering of a foreign language in order to increase networking and communication within the team and working with clients and also enrichment of knowledge on European culture and tradition in general;5. Developing sustainable partnerships between educational institutions and commercial establishments located in another country, to provide new opportunities for mobility with the aim of learning for trainees.The project covers the following contents : presentation of the company , job requirements , responsibilities of the student, rules of hygiene and work safety , facilities and equipment specific for the commercial activities , labor relations , accomplishment of tasks received in the workplace , improving performances at work / practice , changes taking place in the labor market.They following activities will be carried out :• presentation of the economic operator and its representatives ,• presentation of the activity and the organizational structure,• getting acquainted with the job description ,• clarification of responsibilities and labor relations• presentation of specific machinery and equipment• specification of the operating instructions of machinery and equipment , etc .• knowledge of job-specific tasks (for commercial worker )• fulfillment of individual tasks and tasks which involve teamwork received during the training session• identification of sources of informationThe expected results are:Immediate:1. Acquisition of key transferable skills and practical skills required by business activities,2. Acquiring knowledge to meet specific requirements for employment in Europe.3. Developing an entrepreneurial behavior to facilitate new business opportunities.4. Improvement of communication in a foreign language and enhanced knowledge of a new European cultural space;Medium term results:5. Designing an informative and intuitive material on European consumer rights, which is integrated in specialization classes 6. Creating a Facebook profile presenting students’ activity during the placement Long term results7. Overcoming prejudice that our school is a rural school and placing it among the high schools that offer students maximum opportunities in their educational, vocational and personal developmentThe project aims to develop a training program through which participating students (mostly coming from disadvantaged backgrounds ) can acquire specialized technical knowledge in order to improve their key transferable skills necessary to increase employment opportunities by promoting personal development.
