The project focuses on one of the main activities of the Centre areas – VET institutions quality culture development and strengthening. Aim of the project – to reinforce the activities and coordination of VET methodical commissions by taking over the best foreign experience in relation to the didactics of vocational training, principles of teaching tools development, quality assurance, and VET quality enhancement.
Aim of the project meets the main need of the consortium members - to ensure and improve the quality of VET. Vocational training lacks novelty, since the working methods, tools are outdated (in a sense of form and content).
The participants. 12 persons will take part in the job shadowing/observation visits:
8 persons, that are directly involved into the formation of the qualifications system, VET quality assurance, improvement of the VET attractiveness, and the organization of methodological commissions activity; (Centers staff),
4 vocational teachers who have professional experience in training: practical training performance, lessons organization, development of methodological tools, evaluation, etc., involved in the activity of the methodological commissions and organizing qualification improvement events for colleagues.
Methods. Qualification improvement will be carried out while observing/job shadowing the working processes in the receiving partners’ institution, communicating partners institutions staff, participating in various discussions; evaluation method Peer review.
Results. According to the planned training program participants will acquire/ improve skills and knowledge that will allow for teachers to improve their practical ability to apply and select teaching methods that encourage students' motivation for learning, develop innovative vocational training tools, facilitate skills competitions, special needs learners practical training, the VET teacher qualification improvement process organization, apply and select training events organization methods/forms/way. Teachers will benefit from new forms of teaching (exhibitions, lectures, and skills competitions organization) and will acquire knowledge of its applicability and organization skills.
Center staff will increase the skill of teacher competence assessment procedures preparation, the deeper understanding of teachers’ didactical work and principles will be formed and the ability to apply the peer review method will be strengthened. Also will be strengthened the assessment skill of VET teachers needs’ to improve qualification. VET teachers qualification improvement process and its organization will become smoother, the inter-institutional cooperation regulations will become clearer, and skills of cooperation development will be strengthened.
All participants will enhance cross-cultural working environment and teamworking skills, language skills, lifelong learning skills.
Impacts and benefits.
Competencies acquired during the project mobility will contribute to the increasing VET quality in:
- The quality and attractiveness of practical VET organization involving new, more interesting for learners VET methods, developing modern teaching tools;
- The introduction and further application of new methods and forms in VET, in VET tools development, training material, reinforcing the methodical assistance and counseling mechanism for VET teachers.
The expected long-term impact for VET institutions and sector is the improvement/renewal of teachers methodical work organization, and optimization in their institutions and effective contribution to the development of VET curriculum, more efficient organization of work with methodological commissions.
Impact for participating organizations:
Strengthened direct work functions, increased motivation of VET learners, increased VET attractiveness, strengthened European dimension.
Highly anticipated impact of the project - the opportunity for teachers to gain experience in the implementation of modern practical vocational training, develop new methodical tools and materials. Centers staff will develop deeper understanding of teachers' work and thus provide more effective counseling, strengthening the coordination of methodical commissions, contributing to the overall teachers’ qualification improvement process.
Project management. For the implementation of project activities and continuous monitoring of the project the coordinator is in charge. Project Accountant is responsible for the payments, financial management, correct accounting and submission of correct data.
