During the project, 16 teachers from Kaunas food industry and trade training center, Alytus Vocational Training Centre and Vilnius Tourism and Trade Business School participated in two-week mobilities, which took place in Danish Slagteriskolen, Finland - The Federation of Education in Central Ostrobothnia, Latvias' Rigas tūrisma un Radošas industrijas tehnikums, Estonian Tartu Kutsekariduskeskus vocational training institutions. During mobilities participants improved professional and entrepreneurial competencies while participating in practical training sessions at host institutions, during practical exercises they monitored how students participate in production and / or sales process and how work is organised in practice place. They helped practice leaders, adopted their knowledge and information about use of new technologies in VET processes. Aim of the project - development of competences for vocational teachers in by using of new technologies for preparation of culinary students for labor market inextricably strengthening vocational training and entrepreneurship interaction, participating in labor process, and adopting good experience from European professional training centers specialists (vocational teachers, students practice mentors, directors of practical training and other professional training institutions employees). Needs of the project: -VET teachers demand of innovation and European training programs. -Fuller entrepreneurial competences in different regions of Lithuania for vocational teachers. -The need to create unified vocational training credit system. -The need to develop intercultural competencies of vocational teachers. -More efficient entrepreneurial education in vocational training institution. Project activities: -In mobilities cooks and confectioners vocational teachers participated / monitored teaching processes while using new technologies and innovative teaching methods of integration (from a product idea to its sale); -They helped practice managers, adopted their knowledge and information about work processes and their results; -Result-scattering events with training centers and business community representatives; -After mobility participants revised recommendations for the integration of entrepreneurship into practical vocational training process. Results and benefits: -Confectionery and cooking teachers acquired knowledge, improved professional, general and language competences. -Prepared reports on professional development during the mobility experience (format - photo and video material, combined into a short film). -Profession teachers acquired knowledge will allow to be more creative and take into account today's requirements posed by the labor market, to impart knowledge to the learners. -Practical activities were held by these teachers after return from mobilities. Their acquired knowledge and experiences were shared with training centers communities (footage used in the process of training, career guidance activities in the region). -Participants awarded with Europass Mobility documents which certificate the experience acquired during mobility period. -Using photo material gained during mobilities postcards were published that are used to communicate with domestic and foreign partners by mail (when sending documents and other correspondence). - International links between training providers and training centers in the country and abroad are strengthened and is encouraging a more rapid use of innovation in the teaching process in order to ensure the quality of vocational training and raising level of excellence. -Participants foreign (English) language competence changed for the better, also awareness and understanding of other cultures and countries increased. Dissemination: -Imparting acquired knowledge to students and mentoring their activities to enable them to consolidate acquired vocational and entrepreneurial skills; -Conveying information about the the project, its objectives and results at participating training centers' web sites; -During practical training; -Project activities and experiences are demonstrated at training centers stands / galleries; -Sharing recommendations (developed by participants) at sending organizations' websites; -Postcards - used as promotional product, while sending documents or other correspondence to partners by post. -Lessons - improvement of participants competencies are and will be beneficial during educational processes for teachers.
