"What is my role in society? How do I join against my fellow man? How can I do something active against racism "and," What are my rights and what can I do to make my judgments improve "? The performance will be presented following the timetable in the International Youth Projects House ( IJP) and in the city of Oldenburg . Starting from the the theme "participation in society "and perception of their own rights , the young people will develop with the help of dance improvisations their own dances or traditional folk dances. A daily dance training will teach basics of contemporary dance, which can be tested in the improvisations. As with previous international youth exchanges, the project pursues the goal that young people from Europe come together and creatively work on their sense of responsibility together. There is a constant exchange of ideas and thoughts about their own interests and their representation in politics. By dancing in the group in the specific context of coexistence (living and working together) the young people will question, expand and confirm their self- understanding and testing theirselves. As a group , they explore their own boundaries and those of others. For the dance process, the non- verbal language of distress , makes the dance theater particularly suitable for international meetings . In addition to the workshops are planned also an Oldenburg city exploration, depending on weather conditions , a trip to the lake , a trip to Bremen with a visit to the local dance film archive , as well as international evenings , at which young people can present their cultural differences and commonalities . The project will take place from the 27th of July to the 6th of August at IJP ( International youth projects house ) in Oldenburg. We would like to develop an international dimension and the spread, share the methods ( based on participation and dramatic acting ) with the partners and young people. The project is part of a cycle and started in summer 2013. The Italian group " Circolo Arci Babilonia " (Italy ) , the Polish group of Pelplin , the Spanish group from Barcellona have already worked with Jugendkulturarebtie e.V. The effect/impact of the project on the participants and on Oldenburg society is very relevant and this is becoming every year more meaningful.
