The main objective of the project is to improve the education and working life possibilities of the visually impaired persons, namely sound engineers, musicians and producers through technology development. It also aims at lowering the unemployment rate among the visually impaired and boosting the economy. The target groups are a) visually impaired musicians, sound engineers and producers including persons already practicing these professions and future professionals and b) visually impaired persons, either unemployed or students with interest for the professions that the project focuses on. The expected results include among others a survey of current needs and prerequisites of the visually impaired, the development of script files for applications and a handbook and the establishment of a lasting forum for the dissemination and valorisation of the project's results to facilitate further development of these professions.
