Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: Jun 30, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

This project reflects the needs of the sending organisation through following aims: a) improvement of professional skills of students in the Hairdresser programme, b) improvement of English language skills (professional terminology and phrases used during working procedures in the hairdressing salons). The secondary aim is to extend the connection with other possible partners and to gain experience in project activities through the intermediary organisation. A group of 8 chosen hairdressers (students in the last year of study) will take part in 14 days training in southern Spain (Cordoba/Granada) and they will improve their professional skills (haircuts, dyeing, highlights, advanced formal hairstyles, trendy hairstyles) in the salons chosen by the Spanish intermediary organisation. Further, they will have to speak English as the only language of communication (they will improve their professional language and common phrases). The working activities will take 10 working days (Monday to Friday), 6 hours a day. The group of students will be accompanied by one accompanying person. This activity will be conducted twice – in February 2017 and February 2018. All together there will be 16 mobilities of students and two mobilities of accompanying persons during the project. The students will undergo appropriate preparation (language, cultural) before the training. After the training in Spain they will write a test in English focused on professional terminology and phrases. The mentioned skills, competences, knowledge gained during the training will help the students to pass their final exam with a better result, to understand cultural differences as well as the European integrity. Moreover, the Europass Mobility document which is issued after the training will help them to enter the labour market or further studies in the Czech Republic or abroad. Thanks to the intermediary organisation, the sending organisation will gain experience during the project implementation. It will obtain new contacts with other possible partners for the further cooperation in other programmes (e. g. Cook-Waiter, Masseur). It will also increase its prestige among vocational secondary schools in the region and increase its attractiveness to potential future students.
