The project “Practical training in European IT companies – increased chances of competitiveness in the labor market” is aimed for the 12th grade students, theoretical pathway, real profile, mathematics – computer science field, who are part of the initial professional training at the Pentecostal High School from Arad. The students will take a 90 hours internship (3 weeks) based on the material specified in the computer science curriculum, for the Module IV Web Programming; the training will take place in Spanish IT companies. The transnational partnership includes: the Pentecostal High School from Arad as project beneficiary, Desarrollo Web and DSI Spain Granada as host organizations and MEP Europrojects Granada as intermediate organization. The need the project addresses is that of improvement of training opportunities, in order to promote a highly qualified and receptive work force to the economic needs, so that the competitiveness of the high school graduate will increase by leveling the class training with the labor market demand, in which the IT skills and knowledge, innovation and creativity are essential, by ensuring a match between the skills developed at school and the demand for skills in IT firms. The internship offers the participates the opportunity to make contact with the new tendencies of web programming, data base modeling and exploitation, to develop new skills regarding the use of programming languages HTML, Java Script and PHP in web development, to create MySQL databases, to make a website for promoting a business or a product, to experience a creative mindset in structuring and problem solving, to use concepts and methods of algorithmic type, specific to addressing a variety of issues, to process types of data structures, to design applications to solve specific problems using data processing tools to process images for web pages, use world wide web technologies, to develop the practical dimension, which is highly necessary to facilitate the access on labor market, creating object-oriented applications, practical interactive products which are marked by ingenuity and creativity. The training will enable our students to keep in pace with actuality, will provide them with new perspectives and interest in other cultures, will enable them to practice their English language skills, increasing their chances of employment in the European labor market and the ability to be mobile. The 3 weeks mobility will be performed during October 2017 and October 2018. Project objectives:O1 Training the students who are involved in initial training at a European standard in order to increase their chances of mobility and integration on the IT labor market.O2 Leveling the relationship between initial training and current labor market requirements.O3 Accumulation of linguistic knowledge and information on Maltese culture and tradition.Contents:Week 1 - Interaction with Web databasesWeek 2 - Web Programming with Java Script – Graphic user and visual interfaces in Java Week 3 - Web Programming with PHPResults:- Good skills in web programming with JavaScript and PHP- A better orientation of participants in future career- Adaptability and flexibility in the labor market integration- Opening perspectives for further study at a higher level with the possibility of mobility within the EU- Motivate participants to further specialization and training in IT, a complex professional field with high demand in the labor market- CD-presentation of the project and the project's website, posters, flyers- 2 JavaScript and MySQL tutorials used as auxiliary curriculum for computer science classes- “IT – Penti Club” formed as a result of the project development- Scientific Session on "Web Programming"- Applications for new mobility projects.
