End date: Nov 30, 2016
PROJECT
FINISHED
The vocational trainings takes place in Hungary (Budapest).
Duration of the training - 3 weeks
Realization of the training - September 2015
Our partner organization - MÁV GÉPÉSZET Zrt.
Number of participants - 10
Participants are 2nd year students of higher education in the field of engineering.
The main aim of the vocational training is to combine the theoretical knowledge with the practical skills in a foreign context.
The practical training aims to enable students:
- acquisition of new knowledge in the production of brake systems for the latest IC trains for the transport of persons
- acquisition of basic manual skills in engineering tasks, in the works connected to engineering and in the practical application of automation means.
-in the field of different mechatronic systems - to use different graphic systems to depict machinery and its parts, or at manufacturing processes with CNC machines, and modern manufacturing processes with CAD/CAM/CAE.
The aims of the project are based on the needs of the trainees, taking into consideration the fact, that our school does not have quality and modern machinery:
-our school does not own workshops with modern technology and technical equipment, consequently it is not able to ensure the continuous professional development of our students
-the participants cannot learn the latest methods, techniques in their field during their school training
-the big corporate firms of the region (eg. TRADETECH, spol. s r.o., IMC PLUS s.r.o., U.S. Steel, Košice) require from their applicants to know how to manipulate with the latest and most modern technical equipment, software and programmes in the field of engineering
-we would like to improve the chances of our students for employment by enabling them to attend a vocational training abroad and by ensuring them the Europass Certificates.
Since the participants are students of higher education, the project does not concentrate only on their professional growth but on their independence as well. We want to enable them to present their own propositions and solutions on how to carry out a task.
The target knowledge and skills, that students should acquire during the training:
-to acquire new knowledge in the production of brake systems for the latest IC trains for the transport of persons
-to carry out complex manual metalworking,
-to easily manipulate with the mechanical tables,
-to know complex engineering tools and equipment
-to design a technological procedure to manufacture spare parts,
-to know the basic mechanic spare parts, their brands, to know how to prepare them for assembly,
-to suggest suitable material for construction elements and components.
The aim of the project is to present for the students the process of manufacturing in a huge company and to enable them to compare their professional knowledge with the knowledge from the training. Students are expected to actively participate in the manufacturing process. The content of training will be determined by the host firm, which lets students into its firm based on an agreement with their school. During the practical training students will have the chance to see all the equipment, technologies and machines that are used abroad, they can develop the skill of independent decision making, their communication skills as well, they learn how to deal with problems and their mobility also increases The training provides a shift from theoretical education towards practical training, which hopefully helps our students to find a job placement more easily.
The general aim of the project is to contribute to the development of the European Community as an advanced knowledge society, with sustainable economic development, with more and better jobs, as well as with a greater social cohesion while ensuring the protection of the environment for future generations. The project aims to develop mobility and practical training within the European Community, so it becomes a world standard of high quality. We would like to improve the skills and qualification of our students by this project, to shift their attitude towards further vocational education and towards lifelong learning in order to gain new knowledge and qualification. We would like to emphasise the importance of vocational education in the process of innovation.
