The inspiration for setting up the project is obtaining additional possibilities in order to increase the level of education and to enhance students’ language and vocational skills.
Such chances can be obtained through vocational training abroad during which students will be able to acquire new skills and abilities in integrating theoretical and practical knowledge.
Building and Geodetic Secondary School Unit in Białystok presents opportunities for gaining knowledge and learning skills required on the European job market. The institution imprints love and respect for work and develops propriety and sense of responsibility
in the students who then develop the ability of technological and economical thinking which allows them to learn, understand and implement innovative technologies in their work. The school puts emphasis on proper attitude towards natural environment protection and promoting innovative technological solutions.
By taking and passing a number of examinations on certain qualifications during the entire educational process, students acquire the technician title.
The goal of this project is acquiring and enhancing skills and abilities of the students who undergo vocational training in two groups of twelve people:
• Installing interior drywall systems qualification for building technicians
• In the process of obtaining sanitary fittings technician title students will enhance their knowledge of air-conditioning and renewable energies installations.
Acquiring these qualifications will be made possible by undergoing internship in Crafts Support Centre in Goetz.
During the entire project vocational German lessons and theoretical lessons on preparing interior drywall system fittings and air-conditioning installations will take place. During their stay, the students will have practical lessons in the training workshops.
The participants will pass on the acquired knowledge to the remaining students, what will inspire the self-development process
in the learning of those.
The students/participants:
• Will implement innovative technological and organizational solutions expediting the completion of tasks
• Will pass on and make use of the experience gained during internships in various companies what will influence and extend the kudos of the school.
• The knowledge of vocational German language will precondition better students’ suitability for the job market in Poland and abroad.
• The development of key competences and the knowledge of innovative approaches to technical solutions will make finding employment on the job market easier.
• The quick advancement of technical sciences concerned with the technologies and materials used in the construction industry
is what will make young people face high expectations on the job market in the future.
• Vocational training needs information on contemporary technological solutions.
• The essential element of education is instruction and training organized in cooperation with other schools and construction companies.
