ZSIŚiU in Elbląg and German company Vitalis realise the project “Praktyka czyni mistrza” . The project is the result of needs of our future graduates on European labour markets formulated by the teaching staff council, local employers and vocational institutions. The project will cover: professional trainings for our students and teachers of vocational subjects. The following participants will take part in the project: - 2 groups of students each consisting of 16 people, each group will have 2 tutors. They will be 2nd and 3rd grade students of vocational school studying for the following professions: system assembler and finishing work in building, installer of sanitary devices and installations (12 students) and 3rd grade technical school students (hairdressing technician – 20 students). There will be 32 students and 4 tutors all together. - 1 group of 5 building and hairdressing subjects teachers. Professional training for the students will last 2 weeks and the training for the teachers will last 1 week. The main goals of our project for all the participants are among others: getting to know European labour market and the ability to move around it, extending and acquiring new professional qualifications, learning and practical use of new technics in hairdressing and building (finishing and installation work) promoting mobility on European labour market. Improving language skills is also a very important aim of our project. We wish our participants to both break language barriers and, which is even more important, learn specialist professional language. The participants will learn about German dual education system. Our students and tutors will extend their multicultural competences taking part in numerous trips around Germany. Vitalis prepared a program that will help the participants to learn about history, culture and traditions of the hosting country. Accommodation and board is provided for all the participants. Our students will take part in professional trainings, the Hairdressing technicians in hair salons in Leipzig, Schkeuditz and building professions in Guth Wehlitz historical building area in Schkeuditz. The tutors will improve their skills and acquire the new ones in hairdressing academy in Leipzig, Saxon Agency of Education and Vocational Training Centre. The Hairdressing technicians will learn about new trends and technologies in hairdressing. They will also check their professional skills working directly with clients. The students of building professions according to their specialization will learn about new materials and technologies in finishing and installation work. The teachers will verify their knowledge in the area of methodology and forms of working with students. We will use ECVET system elements as an answer to need of such teaching process organization that it is possible to include in it the subjects required by the employers. We chose Vitalis as hosting partner as they poses great experience in such actions and they will do their best the trainings are according to learning subjects of the participating beneficiaries. They also have the ability to find proper companies for vocational trainings, which guarantees appropriate realization of the training program resulting from the curriculum in professions specifically chosen for the project. The cooperation so far has been excellent therefore the sending organization has chosen the same partner for the new project. The part submitting the form is convinced the current partner will be able to meet all the expectations of the sending organization. The expected results are as follows: innovation transfer from German vocational teaching market, acquiring key competences in the area of hairdressing technicians and chosen building professions, shaping the attitude of openness to working and studying abroad. Transportation both ways, insurance and protective gear will be provided by our school. There will be language, culture and pedagogic course before our students leave for Germany. Both partners will supervise the project realization. There will be evaluation and publication of the project results among the students and teachers of ZSIŚiU, other vocational schools, teachers’ training centres, the employers cooperating with our school, the leading body, the body exercising pedagogical superintendence, the Chamber of crafts, the clusters functioning in Elbląg and warmińsko-mazurskie voivodship. The trainings abroad, verified by various certificates and Europass-Mobility document, will compose innovative solutions in education and will result in students’ and teachers’ improvement of professional qualifications according to modern standards. The school will realise teaching for the needs of European labour markets.
