Before the stay in Germany, students take part: in a language and culture course led by a German teacher (students who do not attend German classes as a part of a curriculum), in classes with school counselor and classes reminding safety rules (all students). The participants will fill in questionnaires and diagnostic tests exploring their feelings and skills both before and after the stay in Germany. The project aims at the acquisition of the participants experience in the automotive technician, hair technician, car mechanic, sales person and vocational subjects teacher; to supplement the knowledge and skills acquired while studying and working in ZS with the experience of working for a foreign employer, learning about professional environment in another country, raising vocational qualifications and thereby increasing the chances of success in the labour market, and learning language and culture of the Polish western neighbour, overcoming language, interpersonal and cultural barriers and stereotypes. The attendant on behalf of ZS will monitor the students’ implementation of practices, care about students’ safety and support them in problematic situations. Having finished the practices students will receive Europass Mobility, ECVET certificates and certificates of practices completion. Positive rating from German employer at the end of practices will result in fulfilling requirements of professional practice being a part of curriculum of Technical School in vocations: automotive technician, hair technician; the fact of taking part in practices in a foreign country will be notified on the participants’ school reports received at the end of the school year. The coordinator of the project will take care of the issue of Europass Mobility and ECVET certificates, the ZS Head Teacher will take care of the issue of certificates confirming students completion of practices in a foreign country.Participating in the project will affect personal development of the participants, build higher self-esteem, will increase intercultural competence, overcome stereotypes and become more tolerant and open to other cultures. The project will contribute to participants higher attractiveness in the labour market, enrich their vocational experience, and thus probably contribute to the reduction of unemployment in the district and county. The project will also focus the students and the local community attention to the necessity of learning and ability of using communicative skills in a foreign language, the need for professional development as well as entrepreneurship and mobility at work. The project will be an opportunity to promote the municipality of Piaski, the Świdnik county and Lublin region among German employers, as well as among the youth from other countries carrying out vocational training in cooperation with Vitalis. Realization of common goals will enrich the experience of the partners in the field of international cooperation which allows to implement an interesting programme of practices.
