The idea of the project is based on the need for vocational training, providing better career opportunities for employment and personal development in a global economy and in times of crisis and higher unemployment. The project is supported by an active partnership between the sending organization High School of Construction, Architecture and Geodesy, Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, the partner organization Euromind Projects SL, Ubeda, Andalusia, Spain and the geodetic company Iniciativas El Condado. The theme of the project is: Practical geodetic training, tracing the road to better career opportunities. The specific objectives of the project are: - Acquisition and development of key skills and competences for better employment opportunities on the European labor market. - Enhancing the attractiveness of vocational education in geodesy and motivating students for personal and professional development. - Stimulate innovative thinking of the trainees, particularly in terms of working with new technologies and equipment , instruments and software, as well as the use of ICT in the preparation , implementation and dissemination of the project. - Development of the communication skills in English and social skills in an international environment; The training will take place in the geodetic company Iniciativas El Condado. The participants will be 20 students, 17-18 years old, from grades 10 and 11. The specific objectives will be achieved through the following activities: -Linguistic, pedagogical, cultural and logistical preparation. -Practical training during participants’ three weeks placement in the geodetic company Iniciativas El Condado in Ubeda, Andalusia. -Cultural activities during that time. In the training organization, the participants will take advantage of the geodetic equipment, technology, and competent trainers . The content of the training program was defined by negotiation with the partner organizations. During the training the participants will have to perform the necessary measurements and calculations to design a digital terrain model and produce different drawings. The following outcome will be achieved by the implementation of the project : - Twenty participants with professional, language and social skills improvement, with increased opportunities for integration on the European labor market. - Increased motivation for learning and personal development in the field of geodesy. - Valuable experience for sending and partner organizations. - Enhanced prestige and attractiveness of the professional and technical education in the community. By disseminating the results the impact will be extended to regional and national level.
