We are governmental institution. The target group- children and youth in age between 6- 26. Our work is oriented on areas of culture, sport, environment, crafts, social science and tourism by making activities for children and their parents. Our activities are organised through clubs, interest groups, informal groups, meetings, bigger social activities as for example “Santa Claus Day “, Parents and children day and activities during the summer holiday /like summer camps, international summer camps and big national activites as a Key of Stara Lubovna castle/ . Altogether there are 30 clubs and interest groups. In avarage we provide 100 different meetings including competition on various themes for one year.
Background of the project:
The project will be realised mostly in town of Stara Lubovna in Leisure time activities centre. There will be realised regular activities and courses. Part of activities, for example Živé knihy (Live books) and presentations of their home countries will be realised in Region of Prešov in towns Poprad and Prešov. Our organisation working closely with municipality of Stará Ľubovňa, with Culture and edification centre in town, with city library, Club of Slovak tourists, Castle Ľubovňa, Burgher house and Provincial house. All of these organisations provide a lot of activities and possibilities and our volunteers participate in them every year.
Aims of the project:
1. To give to young people with deficiency of opportunities support, experience, skills in work with children and youngsters, support for realise their own projects, increase in their soft skills (communication, empathy, congruence, assertiveness, presentation), to create conditions for their active participation in practice and organize activities in CVC.
2. To lead volunteers to acquisition in new skills, which volunteers can use in the future, for example to manage finances, to live independently, to know how organize their own activities, to be initiative, to be tolerant to minorities, which live in our region. To compare life in Slovakia to life in their own countries, to acquiant people in our region with elements of their own culture.
3. Using non-formal education to help young people to establish to working system of the organisation, to get self-activity, responsibility, courage to realize their own projects and to teach them live in another culture and get skills in communication in slovak language.

Description of the activities:
Our activites are organized through the clubs, interest groups, informal groups, meetings, bigger social activities. In one year we offer about 100 various meetings and events within competences announced by MŠ SR. All the activities are visible in our web – www.cvc.sk
Volunteers will active help with organize and implementation sports events announced by MŠ SR, as basketball of pupils from primary schools as asistants, photographer and assistant refferee. They will help with organize and implementation in mass events in CVC as photographers, mostly in events Day with st. Nicolaus, St. Nicolaus´s running in the streets of town, cross-country running (district part and state part). There will help with giving start numbers, make photo documentation, helping with stuff, too. Volunteers will be refferees at the station or detectives in event Detective Ocko in Stara Lubovna, which we organize in the spring, Santa Claus day, children to parents, Valentine´s ice show, Silvester for children, The key of fortress Lubovna, etc...
Volunteers will also have responsibility to prepare and realize presentations of their cultures at primary schools and high schools in Stara Lubovna and region of Presov and they will have full of our support and help with ensurance stuffs, materials and communication with representatives of schools and organisations, where they will presentations have. As assistants they will participate in preparation and realisation more mass events organized by our organisation, for example Silvester for children, Valentine´s ice show, Carnival on ice.
In our organisation we have altogether about 30 clubs and interest groups, where volunteers can be realized, if they are interested. They can participate at regular clubs, every club has meeting once in the week for two hours.
Volunteers will have possibility to learn slovak language, to know another culture and to get new skills in work with children and youngsters through leisure time activities.
After the end of their EVS will these young people, within long-term benefits:
1. to be able to communicate in slovak language
2. to know Slovak republic, its culture and traditions
3. to know better, what they want to do in the future
4. to be able to manage with certain
