The educational needs of students and teachers at IES El Burgo de Las Rozas have always been very demanding, but due to the increasing use of new technologies and especially since we became a bilingual school, the need to update teachers´ methodology and linguistic competence has become a must. In the new Educational European framework, straight contact with socio, cultural, economic and educational reality in foreign countries, whose languages we are learning, is also essential. The new European and Bilingual dimension many schools, like ours, have or want to have, presents many challenges that should be faced through teachers’ training. It is crucial now to get in touch with colleagues and schools in other countries to exchange experiences and to plan and develop common European proyects. A)The teachers that will take part will be chosen according to these criteria: -Coordinator of the Erasmus+ project -Coordinator of the the bilingual programme -Englisht teachers -ICT teachers -Teachers of excelence programme -Teachers of the bilingual program or that they want to teach in it. -Teachers from different subject that want to improve their English level B)Description of activities Teachers will take part in different activities according to their needs with the aim of improving their linguistic and pedagogical competence and fiiting them all in the new European dimension we want to implement in our school. We have spotted the following: - General English and Refresher Courses - Clil Methodology Courses - English Methodology Courses - English Literature Methodology - Natural sciences, Cultural heritage and integration of the environment in classrrom. C)Methodology Participants will do warm up activities and will get in contact with the rest of the teachers before the course starts to check the general needs of the group. There will be continuous assessment of participants at the institution where the course is held and at our school once the teachers are back. The teachers will stablish links with colleagues from other countries fron future projects. The participants will get a Course Certificate that will be presented to the Headmaster. D)Impact of activity We will elaborate updated materials to renew the teaching methodology at school, encourage teachers to increase the use of ICTs, improve our international projects and will try to join a KA2 project. We will hold a seminar through our CTIF office to widen the scope of the project so that it can reach more teachers. The will present the results of our work in the local media, the school magazine, the school website, the Moodle platform, etc.
