Our project entitled 'Beyond stereotypes – women in job market' is based on the idea of some young people cooperating with the Association Women's Institute (coordinator). These young people are truly interested in the subject of equality of opportunity an decided to make some research on the position of the women in job market in different countries. After advertising our project on eTwinning we started exchanging ideas with young friends from Croatia and Italy (partner organisations). We all constructed a questionnaire and its results shown that the women's situation in job market is not good and that there are many stereotypes in perceiving them. The youngsters have deciced to change that creating this project. There are 24 participants- 12 girls and 12 boys (8 participants from each country) aged 14-21 in the project. The main aims of the project are:to popularise the idea of women and men equality, try to eliminate the stereotypes (on women in job market, their opportunities and professional and social position), promote operations that can change women's position in job market, learn about some new and interesting occupations in perspective of future job choice, promote education in the field of business, form pro-social attitudes, the attitude of readiness for some changes, increase prospects in job market, develop our creativity and self-esteem, communication and foreign language skills, increase in multicultural awareness, develop intercultural dialogue, increase motivation in undertaking new actions to learn how to make a good multimedia presentation, shoot a film, make an opinion poll, make an interview, make a bussines plan, develope the skills of planning and managing. All our aims are coherent with the subjects that the project is about: gender equality/ equality of opportunity and self education, education in the field of running one's own business.The project's participants will learn how to create a questionnaire, how to make an opinion poll, to learn how the small business works, they will be acquainted with the women in politics and their work as well as other jobs women do. The participants will gain the skills of shooting a film, taking photos, organising a meeting, planning, time managing, making a business plan, working in a team. They will learn how to be tolerant and open towards other people, to respect other cultures and their traditions, to try to eliminate stereotypes on women. The rise in intercultural understanding and dialogue is expected as well as other benefits connected with the stereotypes elimination. The level of motivation to undertake own's initiatives and the job opportunnity are to rise. The participants are to become interested in issues concerning the subject of women. The project will have a long-lasting influence on the participants and the local community. We are convinced that the level of communication and language skills will rise as a result of our project. The participants will receive the document certifying the development of these skills. The participants of the project will communicate, advertise and publicise with the use of different blogs and social media sites like Facebook and Instagram. Special team to manage the project and its quality will be created . All participants are involved in the project's creation from the very beginning. We all have decided about the programme of a mobility. We also shared ideas, thoughts and set future goals of the project. The aims of the project are to be achieved during the seven day moblity in Poland mainly by: discussions, experience exchange, cooporation, opinion poll, interviews with women in politics and small business, workshops on stereotypes, team work, management, planning and organising, making business plan, marketing actions, advertising, communicating in different languages, meeting local people and by intercultural meetings.The results of the project will be introduced to our local communities by press articles, articles on our organisations' websites, posts on FB and Instagram.Pre-project activities will involve culture training, blog, Facebook and Instagram account creation, creation of 2 multimedia presentations. During the project the participants will create a multimedia presentation, 2 short films,business plans, the blog of the project will be run. We will evaluate the project daily. There also will be summing up evaluation as well as one month after evaluation.The project will have long-lasting influence on participants and the local community. It will initiate discussion on women's situation in job market. The change in attitude towards women is expected as well as other long-term benefits connected with the stereotypes elimination. The social awareness of gender equality and other cultures is to rise. The participants are to become interested in issues concerning the subject of women.As a follow-up action of the project the poster competition will be announced.
