Play & Learn on mental health" is an initiative of NGO "Athina", an organization active in the field of mental health and de- institutalisation mainly of children and teenagers. The initiative will take place in Athens, home of our organization and it will last five months in total (planning, implementation and evaluation). It is a national initiative of youth, which is focused on local level.The proposed project suggests the creation of the first educational, board game which aims at informing young people and raising awareness on mental health issues through the process of question and answers. The specific objectives are:- the empowerment of non - formal learning.- the participation of young people.- the promotion of innovative projects by young people,- the combat of social exclusion and stigma on mental health issues.The group of young people involved in the initiative will be consisted of eight young employees and volunteers of our organization. Our purpose is to create of young people with an appropriate background that will contribute to the promotion of mental health based on its creativity and vision.Play & Learn on mental health' will be addressed to teenagers, students of secondary schools in the Prefecture of Attica. Finally, during the delivery of the board games there will be held special informative events about issues concerning the mental health of children and teenagers.In brief, the action of the proposed initiative are the foliowiny: -theoretical research on mental health issues and L.rEa~ion of questions. - creative planning of the board game.- communicational promotion of "Play & Learn on mental health", - delivery to schools and realization of events.- creation of a portal dedicated to the initiative.
