Most of them are under age 18. European mobility is offered to young students who have never been away from their families or have never travelled abroad. Mobility project is based on volunteering and candidates’ selection is not elitist. We offer mobility to candidates with special education needs yet determined to involve themselves in a meaningful project.Mobility is for many pupils a rupture off with their environment: an opportunity to create a more positive self-image by increasing their self-confidence and awareness of their personal capacities. To this end, preparation activities are carried out by the mobility coordinating teacher to involve pupils in the project. The High School Les Hauts de Flandre is the applicant organization in charge of the administrative and financial management of the project. It manages and coordinates the ERASMUS+ funds within the académie, signs conventions with the partners, writes balance sheets, takes part in the steering group. The DAREIC (Department of International Education Affairs) advices and guides the applicant to write and submit the e-form application aligning to the needs expressed and mentioned by the sending schools. It coordinates the project with PIMEN4_59. It ensures that the consortium PIMEN4_59 project building and developing process will match and contribute to meeting the project's objectives and the authority, the of schools' educational objectives. The role of the sending partners within the project: Relaying information to the Lycée Les Hauts de Flandre and DAREIC, preparing the participants, supporting and following up the mobility activities, evaluating and enhancing the project, taking part in the reports, updating the website www.pimen-aan.eu. The supervisor in the hosting company will check and monitor the work program and progress during mobility. Results sharing and dissemination will take place within the schools: commitment to quality of the partnership, skills mastering, feed-back on benefits from mobility experience, communication activities within and towards the educational community and the authority organization (DAREIC).
