Perla de Caribe & Perla de España Phase 2 is an exchange program for young mothers in which 16 youngsters from Leon in Spain and 16 youngsters from Willemstad in Curacao will deepen the understanding of the position of young mothers in both cultures. The exchange will help them with simple, interactive exercises and activities to get to know each other and their situations better. During their weeks visit they will be confronted with the situation of their peers, exchanging views, discussing mutual topics and shared experiences. The focus of the second phase will be on playing games as ways to increase cognitive and motor development of their children. The exchange will help them to better understand their own situation and identity, their opportunities and chances and thus to find ways to improve their own lifes.
