The Foundation San Cebrián works towards the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and their families, so the project has a marked social character. The activities of the volunteer have a duration of six months (from 10/01/2015 until 01/04/2016) Voluntary work has consisted mainly in supporting the realization of daily activities that take place in one of the workshops Day Centre of the Institution in the town of San Cebrián de Campos, in particular in one of the workshops people most in need of support. The main objectives of this project were from the personal enrichment of all those involved in it (besides volunteers, people with disabilities and professionals Entity) to make known our approach to work and training for the volunteer participant, through an approach and international contacts of the Foundation in the face of possible organization of other activities. Clear results have been achieved in skills related to: - Communicating in another language - The acquisition of social and civic competences - Sense of initiative volunteer - Work skills both on an individual level but above all teamwork. - Acquisition of related skills tolerance and respect.
