PROJECT
FINISHED
The main purpose of the project is to raise the professional and key competences of mobility participants and to increase the internationalisation of BC Naklo. Pupils and teachers alike will bring added value to the field of international involvement (through expanding the network of international cooperation) and improve the learning process. The project is aimed at practical training for 24 students at professional gymnasiums (accompanied by two teachers). All the students selected for this project have been following the professional gymnasium programme at BC Naklo; our aim therefore, through this mobility, is to extend the range of further guidance in the fields of biotechnology.
The project proposal largely meets the objectives and goals of international cooperation addressed by BC Naklo and in the internationalisation plan.
We can define the general objectives and expected results for all the mobilities, which primarily involve the sharing of knowledge in selected professional fields, learning about new forms of practical training, gaining professional and personal competencies, personal growth through project work experience, improving professional knowledge and skills, raising linguistic competence levels, establishing new contacts for long-term cooperation, and developing a trans-national and European dimension. Working and living amongst students of different countries serves to promote understanding of other cultures and social and intercultural dialogue.
Past experience and cooperation with our Polish partners served as the basis for the development of the project. By signing the Memorandum of Understanding, we have established a framework for the exchange and identification of the responsibilities and obligations of each organisation.
The published invitation and criteria for pupils and their accompanying teachers ensures transparency in the participant selection process, meaning the best participants will be chosen. The very "technical" preparations (timelines, security, logistics, tasks, duties, etc.) will be carried out within the framework of a joint meeting with the students, their parents, accompanying teachers, the project team and the professional staff of the school. Language and cultural preparation for high school students will also be carried out.
Within the framework of 16 daily mobilities, the participants will learn about nature conservation, agriculture, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine with their partner institutions and their business partners. During this time, their gains in personal growth will be augmented by improvements to their technical and core competencies, which will be reflected in the educational process through the recognition of laboratory exercises in science subjects, compulsory subjects or extracurricular activities. In the "afternoon" time, the participants will develop their language skills and learn about the history and culture of the host country. The progress of the participants will be monitored by the accompanying teachers who will, at the same time, compare the learning content and methods for subsequent evaluation.
The pupils will present their experiences to other students and also spread awareness of the importance of international mobilities and the knowledge and experience acquired.
The long-term results of this cooperation will be reflected in future cooperation between the two partner institutions. The project will also acquaint those who visit us with the local community, where we will present our centre, our business partners, local communities and Slovenia. The potential long-term effects of promotional activities of this nature would include enhanced cooperation between local communities.
Throughout the course of mobility, the objectives met and the effects of mobility will be analysed and evaluated. On the basis of this document and previous evaluations of mobility, we will write the international and mobility standards for BC Naklo.
