The main aim of this project is promote and raise awareness about Human Rights among the youth in the region of Brežice using different kind of methods and tools, specially art & multimedia.Through the work, EVS volunteers will get very good experience from different field of work. Mainly working with and for youngsters, but also getting to know with the topic of human rights, active participation, multimedia, project writing and project management, learning new languages - Slovenian, improve their level of English, helping in organizing events, helping in implementing different kind of projects etc. The main activities will be organized considering the competences and the attitudes of each volunteer, example: human rights campaigns, presentations, workshop on different human rights topics, organizing and preparing different kind of activities (international and intercultural events and activities, languages courses for youth, collaborating with local schools), involving youth people – i.e.photo/video/art contest competition on topic of Human rights, Human Library project, debates within Debatni Klub MC.Within the project we will also focused on promoting volunteerism (specially EVS) and active participation and citizenship among youth in the regions. Volunteers will gain knowledge in project management and project writing, organizing conference and other events non formal education activities, cultural events, concerts, performances, activities for children, camps, doing researches, etc.The volunteer will be encouraged to help to make a plan and run those activities but they will also be encouraged to implement their own projects and get help with this. They will also have the possibility to learn and get to know other activities and projects we work on in the center, and will be able to contribute their own ideas and personal interests to the programs. Staff of the centre, specially coordinator and mentor, will support and help them to implement their ideas. In case we would need additional support and help in specific topics we will connect with local experts, organizations and institutions since center has successfully build big and quality networks and partnerships on local, national and international level. In the end of the project volunteer will have to present a results of all activities (in Slovenia and their own cuntries) and results of individual project that they will plan and implement, together with the staff of the organizationThe young volunteers will be integrated in all daily activities depending on their interests and their potentialities. All of our staff members are open minded, so it will be easy for the volunteers to feel comfortable in the team. The aim of this project is to encourage the volunteers and the local youth to reflect on the role they play in society and how they can contribute to improving it.
