Eastern Slovakia, Prešov region, Gerlachov The Place of Stay: Omega Club PARTNERS: : Georgia - YFW - Youth for the World, Greece – Green spirit, Italy – Levitazione, Lithuania - Inovatyvi Karta, Romania – AIDA – Asociatia de initiative durabile alternative, Spain – Senda NovaThe idea of the project “Pasta la Vista” was born on training course focused on sports in Lithuania which was attended by one member of the non-formal group Youth leaders of the RCM. We would like gather 35 (4 + 1 leader) young people aged 17 – 21 in our project Pasta La Vista in Eastern Slovakia. We have noticed that there is an issue nowadays that many people don´t know how to cook right on their own and they eat a lot of junk food with any nutritional value.This is why we intend to improve their cooking habits and teach them how to cook, as well as develop intercultural aspects through cooking and various cuisines. In order to do this, we will use non-formal education, learning by doing, simulations and workshops. We will also include a nutritious expert to help us. Therefore, we will inform participants about nutrition, exchange and create recipes, teach “budget cooking”. We will learn all together how to cook healthy through outdoor cooking, shopping simulation including discussion afterwards, food tasting, workshops about nutrition and intercultural cooking. Our aim is also to affect the public, so we are planning to organize food tasting and sharing recipes in the town of Poprad. We expect from the participants to become more independent and creative in the field of cooking and healthy lifestyle in general. We also hope to motivate the participants to promote what they´ve learned and realized after the project in their area and through social media.
