The relationships between Galicia and northern Portugal are centuries old . The border between Galicia and Portugal was more a product of history than of nature . And so , the political border between Galicia and Portugal was not exactly a complete , mental and social frontier.
Having such close proximity , often overlooked by youth , often considered important to alert her to the story and analyze , discuss and reflect the youth approaching them and alienates those regions. Therefore , we intend to realize how young people have been , over time , to construct and interpret reality in regards to craft knowledge , cultural and ethnographic tastes and recreational and leisure activities ( habits and consumption) . Thus the need to design this project emerged , giving the opportunity to the youth to realize that those who do not know your past, your present does not understand or know to build your future .
Territorital objectives are to foster cooperation between the two border regions ; produce the taste / appreciation of values, traditions and culture of the place of belonging , enabling youth to develop the taste for the place where they live ; promote mutual aid , self -esteem , responsibility and autonomy , contributing to the acquisition of personal , social and professional skills ; sensitize the youth on the importance of their participation in community development , stimulating creativity and entrepreneurship ; enhance the language skills of participants ; raise awareness of European citizenship ; to provide youth and intercultural communities .
Participants 34 Portuguese and Spanish young people aged 15 to 22 years , more 2 group leaders, living in rural regions with indices of social exclusion .
In this project a participatory methodology , based on techniques of non-formal and informal will be applied . The project activity will take place in the Village of Melgaço . To achieve the project objectives , a pirmeiro time , an approach to history, culture and geography of northern Portugal and Galicia will be taken . This phase of introducing the theme , will serve as a basis for discussion and reflection on the influence of history in youth these days , particularly in rural areas . In the second phase , the youth will present the results of research done in the preparation phase , ie , the craft knowledge , cultural and ethnographic tastes and lúcicas and leisure gifts in their daily activities . After our reflections around the themes of the project , young people will the third time in discussion groups , debate and reflect on what unites and what separates them. There will also be a workshop of sharing , where will speak of institutions , regions and youth policies to support training and employability . After the acquisition of knowledge and reflection on the theme, the final phase will prepare strategies to give back to their communities what they have learned and mention what unites and separates , citing possibilities for building a better future . Accordingly , participants will prepare the product to function as a material CBC . It will be the moment that will describe how they will implement the product in the territories . In this activity, youth will be sporting moments , visiting cultural sites and nature, socializing and recreation .
Sharing parameters of local identity , will enable young people to rediscover your own site . Participants will have an active role in all scheduled activities and thus realize that they can take an active role in finding solutions to the problems that affect the lives of their rural community . Still , participation in this project will put young people in touch with different realities , as matters of personal interaction , responsibility , autonomy , cooperation and leadership , which will prepare them to better face the beginning of their working lives .
