The aim of the Erasmus+ project PASKARA III is the further development of quality awareness and strengthening the intercultural competence of trainees. Participants will gain an insight into the entire manufacturing process of construction machines starting with steelmaking, steel foundry, steel treatment / processing and ending with the final assembly. The repairing of transmissions and axles that have been made at their own training company, is part of the project. There are a total of 30 trainees of different qualified jobs involved: industrial mechanic, cutting machine operator and instrument mechanic. Partners of that project are the training center Erkunt, the construction machinery manufacturer Hidromek in Ankara and the ZF Passau (manufacturer of gearboxes and axles). The project will be carried out in two flows with 15 students. Expected results are in addition to promoting quality awareness, to recognize the global context of production and economic systems, the importance of customer focus and quality assurance as well as the importance of English as the working language. The increase in intercultural and social competences of apprentices and acceptance and tolerance of other cultures are expected results. The experience can be implement immediately in the further apprenticeship and in professional life by the participants. The willingness to continue careers abroad will be strengthened, the cultural horizon will been expanded significantly.
