The mission of the Border Guard School (hereafter – BGS) under the State Border Guard Service (hereafter – SBGS) at the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Lithuania – ensure quality of trainings meeting the requirements for borders protection and armed state defence. BGS pays significant attention and importance to satisfaction of its' customer needs, requirements and exceeded expectations about BGS activities and results, as it is one of main targets of Quality Management System (compatible with the requirements of LST EN ISO 9001:2008 standard) implemented in BGS.The project "Development of Border Guards School students' competences related to interdiction of illegal migration" will provide BGS students a possibility to develop competences, which they don't have during training process in BGS. Yet, Lithuania is not a priority location to stay for the migrants, more likely a transit country (goal is more economically developed countries), a big part of SBGS officers and also BGS graduates needs work experience related with illegal migrants.Project participants – basic level vocational training BGS students, who are trained according to the 3rd educational level Border Guard training curriculum, and pretending to become basic level officers (border guards) at the SBGS. The part of internship carried out in the host organization under the frames of this project will be considered as a part of BGS 2nd course final internship. The rest part of the internship is going to be carried out in the SBGS structural units. It is planned to implement 4 groups BGS students mobility visits in 2 European Union (hereafter – EU) member states (Finland and Hungary), each visit 5 participants in each country in 2 year period. In total 40 participants. Activities will be carried out according to the agenda agreed between BGS and project partners.The participants, who will take part in the project are expected:1. to get acquainted with partners State Border Guard structural units' specifics of ensuring EU external borders protection and legal regime;2. to get acquainted with partners Foreigners Reception Center activities;3. to prepare creative task (presentation, essay etc., appointed or chosen before the mobility);4. to develope speciality and common English language skills In order to ensure successful implementation, the project management group was formed by the head of BGS order. Participants monitoring will be carried out by the appointed persons in host partners organizations, in addition, monitoring visits will be carried out by BGS representatives. The progress and achievements of participants will be assessed by the appointed persons in host partners organizations, after the internship there will be an examination of participants participants skills, moreover, creative task will be additional measure to evaluate participants. Participation in such project would provide both BGS and BGS students oneness in European level, since such possibilities are possible only for working officers, who are participating in missions coordinated by FRONTEX.We hope that participants of this project will have a better carrier opportunities, in addition, possibility to participate in FRONTEX coordinated missions, with an aim to ensure EU borders control. Such officers will disseminate teh name of SBGS and BGS.Moreover, due to this project we expect to have a more close cooperation with Law Enforcement School in Szeged, Hungary and will develop cooperation in various projects.
