The European Youth Information and Counselling Agency (ERYICA) is an independent European organisation, composed of national youth information co-ordination bodies and networks. It aims to develop, support and promote quality generalist youth information policy and practice at all levels in order to meet the information needs of young people in Europe and to apply the principles of the European Youth Information Charter.As ERYICA would like to enhance the amount of information of needs and questions of young people in Europe, we think it is important to have the volunteers working in the organisation. The volunteers could bring a lot of new input and awareness of the situation of youngsters in his/her country, and thus, the "fresh wind" into our activities.Through the presence of youngsters in ERYICA secretariat, the organisation will become more dynamic and will be able to cope in a better way with the realities of the youngsters at European level. The youngsters will be given the opportunity to state their Ideas and suggestions; so that ERYICA can be considered as an organisation -at least partially-from youngsters, to youngsters.The current project is planned to host one European volunteer from Finland and one from Spain for the period of twelve months. This will be ERYICA's first experience in EVS hosting, and we are looking for it, as hosting volunteers will enable the organisation to improve its ties with the youngster's country of origin as they have a better understanding and knowledge of the reality of their country and can facilitate the communication between the secretariat and the country.
