The reduced active participation of young people in society is one of the main problems facing the European Union . This problem is generated by ignorance of the topics covered as well as the lack of tools for promoting and facilitating a more active participation.
Therefore, to encourage and promote a more active citizenship , it is necessary to prepare young people to acquire habits of participation and involvement in the issues of society , to enable them to acquire knowledge and skills , access to resources and opportunities . In this sense arises the drafting of Youth Participation : What Future ? .

During the study visit ,31 participants from 10 countries ( Portugal , Turkey , Azerbaijan , Moldova , Georgia , Ucânia , Italy, Norway , Armenia and Spain) will discuss the possibility of creating formal spaces to promote youth participation .
In exchange , 6 leaders and 24 young from different countries in Europe ( Portugal , Spain, Italy , Georgia , Azerbaijan and Armenia ) will develop the ideas generated during the first activity .
The participants will consist of experts in the field of youth , youth monitors , association presidents , politicians on youth jobs and associations , active population , with experience, knowledge and motivation to examine the issue of the participation of young , developing new network projects and encourage active citizenship. During the exchange will be involved young people already active in their communities as well as other less active so that is we can motivate them to more active citizenship.
Develop a methodology to help young people understand the importance of active citizenship in society and the construction of Europe is one of the goals of this project . For this reason we intend to understand and analyze youth participation activities through debates , workshops , round tables , group dynamics , conferences and study visits to different political institutions and youth associations .
The methodology will be participatory and interactive , with the objective of encouraging teamwork , learning and acquiring skills through the implementation and exchange of ideas , provided by each country and organization.
It is also intended to improve language and communication skills , enhanced through the work of multicultural groups .
Leaders , youth workers in the area , responsible for youth policy and employment may discuss and reflect on common concerns and try to find successful strategies and promoting equate implementation of tools / programs used successfully in other contexts . We intend to compile a series of proposals that can be streamlined through a pro - active attitude on the part of young people , in different realities . During this meeting we will motivate the youth to join the association movement in order to make up partnerships at European level that enable the development of a Europe that is attentive to the needs of their local communities .
The youth exchange will enable participants to acquire / consolidate knowledge and skills that were developed during the study visit , knowing the conclusions of the work of the same , the opportunities offered by the European Union and the Erasmus Programme + .
The development of this project will develop mechanisms and renew the tools for promoting active participation of young people in their local areas , increase their degree of identification with European citizenship , arouse interest in the mobility of young people, associations , voluntary work and cooperation.
Participants will promote local , regional , national and European level practices and experiences . The contact with different agencies responsible for the development of youth policies and associative character will enhance partnership and cooperation networks and exchange of experience .
Many young people , thanks to this project can meet the opportunities offered by Erasmus + program. Thus we will indirectly enhance the impact of the project at European level .
This meeting will also enable the development of future joint projects between the different partners , which will involve new participants , thereby enhancing the impact of this project and leverage the results and learnings .
