The project aims at identifying the problems and development needs of the two cooperating regions, through the elaboration of two separate documents containing social and economic overviews of each of the sides in the cross-border area, relevant statistical data and development indicators. On the basis of these documents, and by including the stakeholders through the organization of workshops and round tables, a single document will be developed containing the development strategy for the whole Križevci-Barcs area. Achievements: The project was the result of several years of successful co-operation of the partners aiming at strengthening connections between the business-, public- and civil sector in the region by setting up an overall system of co-operation. Based on a detailed SWOT analysis of the microregions the partners were aiming at establishing an interconnected system of co-operation by including organisations from all spheres of life. As a result a set of specifi c recommendations was elaborated for the planning of the socio-economic integration of disadvantaged groups.
