Project "Pädevuspõhise õppe toetamine rahvusvahelistumise kaudu" provides vocational teachers and students from metal and car departments of Tallinn Lasnamäe School of Mechanics with an opportunity to get practice in Finnish, Turkish, Portuguese and Slovenian companies. This project is based on the results of previous Leonardo da Vinci projects "Praktika Euroopas kui üks aste konkurentsivõimeliste spetsialistide arengutrepil" and "Kaasaegne ja rahvusvahelise kompetentsiga kool".
The project has two target groups:
1. Vocational teachers of metal- and car departments (4 persons)
2. Students of metal- and car departments that study the 2nd - 4th year mostly based on basic education (9 grades), but also based on secondary education (22 persons).
In frame of the project are organised practices abroad for four teachers: 1 teacher in Finland (metal work), 1 teacher in Turkey (car department), 1 teacher in Portugal (metal work), 1 teacher in Slovenia (car department). Teachers' practices last for 2 weeks. Teachers participate in the project individually in order to make practical training period more efficient.
Students' practical training placement is also organised abroad in frame of this project:
02.11. - 13.12.2014. 4 welders and 2 car technician students' practical training in Finland (Salpaus Further Education)
24.05. - 04.07.2015. 6 metal work (welder and metal-products assembler) students' practical training in Portugal (Insignare)
24.05. - 04.07.2015. 4 car department students' practical training in Slovenia (Srednja poklicna in strokovna sola Bezigrad - Ljubljana)
24.05. - 04.07.2015. 4 car department students' and 2 metal work (welder and machine-tool worker) students' practical training in Turkey (Kapademi)
General goals of the project are to improve students' of Tallinn Lasnamäe School of Mechanics competiveness and successful employment on the labour market with the help of qualified practical training and vocational teachers' qualification development.
More specific objectives of the project are: organising practical training in Finland, Portugal, Slovenia and Italy for 22 students and 4 vocational teachers of Tallinn Lasnamäe School of Mechanics; development of participants' key kompetences: digital and technology competence, entrepreneurship sense, capability to live, work and manage in multicultural community, to be an active citizen, foreign language skills, social skills; development of participants' professional skills in accordance with school and internship curriculas' requirements; diversifying learning process at school and offering better opportunites for students to study and participate in self-development process.
The most important results of the project are increased competitiveness and successful employment of graduaters on the labour market.
Other expected results are: all practices are done successfully and efficiently; students' professional, language, cultural and group work skills are improved; students' key competences are developed; students do use acquired knowledge, practical skills and developed during the project materials for studies and preparation for exams.
Practical training done in frame of this projects will be recognized by Tallinn Lasnamäe School of Mechanics as practical training in the company for 210 hours. Moreover, the participants of the project get Europass mobility certificates and certificates from host organizations.
