The project 2015-1-ES01-KA101-014712 is designed for teachers of all education levels in the Salesianos Santísima Trinidad of Seville. Its name is “Overview of Education in English” and its purpose is to let our teaching staff acquiring new teaching techniques. At the beginning , it was a project designed for six teachers, and it was supposed to be carried out in October 2015, but it was not approved at the very beginning, but after the estimated period, so the number of students and date had to be changed: the date then was April 2016, and four teachers instead. The training for teachers took place in Barcelona Pozo di Giotto, Messina, Italy and the Association ARocca was in charge of it. Our teachers were offered offered a general view about innovate teaching practices. During five days, four teachers from our school attended training courses related to educational system in Italy. Also they visited different schools and learnt about teaching methodologies, such as communication through internet and classroom communication. This program was created with the aim of improving the capacity for teaching of our teachers using the new and innovative methods in our home country. As well, they have acquired higher competence in English, as it has been the language used during the course. To sum up, the main objectives that have been followed with this Project, “Overview of Education in English”, have been related to the proposed aims of the Strategic Framework for Education and Training 2020 and The Brujas Communication . The goals that we wish to achieve with this project are the following: - Improving the English level of the teaching staff - Offering an innovative vision regarding new teaching practices - Knowledge of other countries’ educational systems different from the Spanish one. - Learning about teaching methodologies, communication through internet and classroom . - More training opportunities in an European context and obtaining more knowledge about other cultures. The expected impact for our school is very positive because as our teacherswould improve their methodology, our students and center will offer a high quality of education. This improvement will also have positive consequences in the enrollment numbers and in the overall image of the Salesian School Santísima Trinidad.
