The project " OUT -DOOR - NEW METHODS " was a training with new trends and methods of outdoor education for leaders, youth workers and multipliers of international projects and youth exchanges. Project participants came from 10 countries : Belgium , Lithuania, Latvia , Germany , Romania , Slovakia , Turkey , Hungary , Italy and Poland , related to the partner organizations with which the "Rodowo" Foundation works regularly for several years .
Training group consisted of 24 people - actively working leaders , youth workers and multipliers , youth work educators, students of pedagogy , culture animation, social and human sciences. The groups consist of 2 or 3 people from each of 10 partner organizations. The training took place in Poland , in the International Youth Meeting Center in Rodowo near Mr?gowo, from 10. to 17. Mai 2015.
The aim of the project "OUT -DOOR - NEW METHODS" was theoretical and practical training of participants in methods of outdoor education. It has included:
1. provide information on pedagogy and education experiences in outdoor activities.
2. collaborative team activities in the field of adventure pedagogic and education in the nature.
3. practical teaching of experience pedagogy methods in the context of non-formal youth education.
Under the program there were completed games for knowing each other and integrate, language animations, presentations , discussions, exercises in trust and team building, cooperative tasks, workshops on communication and conflict resolution and also night outdoor game . The program does not run out of multicultural evenings. There were also natural sport and pedagogy of nowhere and evaluation of a training.
Leaders and youth workers during the training gained knowledge of outdoor education, group dynamics and learned the specific methods, forms and techniques of reflection, supporting the process of non-formal education. In addition, the acquired or developed of interpersonal and social skills, such as effective communication , collaboration, creative approach to the problem, looking for solutions , ability to negotiate , effective human resource management, empathy , openness to others , responsibility for them self and others , and many others to help in the life in society and work in a youth group.
After the training project, participants use their knowledge and experiences in non-formal youth work projects implemented by their organizations.
