The project "Open up to a new dimension" is mobility in the field of education, training and youth. The new dimension is understood in many aspects: literally it means the students art work in an art workshop where they will do projects in a traditional manner, using the rules of geometry, 3D designing and also will be completing with similar task on computer using digital design assistance programs such as AutoCad, Blender, 3DStudioMax. Figuratively is means the opening up to professional life foreign languages acquisition the existence of multi-culti the idea of long life learning programs labor market. Within project realization chosen pupils of 3rd form of our school (two groups of 18 pupils each) who are taught to be technicians of informatics and electronics will take part in 2-week vocational training at partner institution FEPSET in Portugal which has got a huge experience in organizing professional, vocational training. The mobility will take place in May 2016 and 2017. Each group of student will go with two tutors from our school who will be responsible for students security and mentoring. The project consists of 3 modules 1.Work security 2.Economy, organization and management of enterprises 3.Trainig period at working positions at firms Taking part in training will allow pupils to compare different aspects of work organization in both countries and practical use of knowledge and professional skills gained at school in real working conditions (individual and team work). They will also gain new practical skills. Our students come from the post-industrial region, so an opportunity for enhancing knowledge and innovative skills gained abroad, improving foreign languages command, getting knowledge about culture and habits in Portugal and broadening minds will help them in finding interesting and financially attractive work after graduating. That’s why one of the main goals of our project is to diminish the differences in education of talented students who because of their background has got worst financial situation and worst life conditions. The goals of the project have been defined on the bases of participants needs and organizational applicability of hosting institution in Portugal, as follows: improving vocational competence concerning networks service, automation and industrial robotics, also integrated systems of VPN enhancing command of English and learning basic Portuguese dealing with technical documents of different devices and computer programs in English and Portuguese learning new work methods gaining competitive position on labour market quality and popularity of vocational education and training development enhancing professional mobility getting acquaintance of new work environment life and communication skills including making decisions and problems solving, dealing with stress getting acquaintance of work organization and culture in another country sensitivity and tolerance for mental and cultural differences The project realization consists of several important stages: -together with hosting institution we will elaborate vocational training program and all necessary documentation -the sending institution will be responsible for students’ cultural and pedagogical preparation before the mobility -both institutions will deliver logistic and organizational support before and during the mobility as well as assessment and validation of students achievements within ECVET system. The project idea and its results we are going to widely disseminate during its realization. The project website will be created on which participants will be sharing their new professional experience with school mates and teachers. We will organize project meeting at our school during which participants will present their achievements. There will be publicities about project in local and professional press, we will write reports for Education Department of Municipal Office in Sosnowiec and Educational Authorities. At each stage of project realization and after it evaluation will be done. Expected project results: -getting knowledge about vocational education and training in Portugal -verifying and modifying vocational apprenticeship modules and school curriculum -learning about new work methods and didactics facilities of hosting institution -increasing motivation for learning, self-improving and taking up studies at high schools -getting certificates such as Europass Mobility, Europass Language Passport, certificate of vocational training, certificate of project attendance, Individual List of Achievements within ECVET system which will give students the better start into professional life. We expect our students to gain key competences including using knowledge and skills in new situations, in a foreign country and they will also join innovative technologies with own education and personal development.
