Technical Secondary School TEB Edukacja in Gliwice together with its partner organization Tellus prepared mobility project entitled: ‘Tebusy are gaining European professional competences’ within Erasmus+ Program. We assumed that 20 students (called Tebusy) ,10 from IT class and 10 from photography class, will participate in two-week work practice in Tellus Collage in Plymouth , UK in September 2017. Practical will take place in vocational education center, where our students supervised by professionals will gain new professional competences. Two teachers responsible for students’ safety during journey and on site, controlling the process of practical, monitoring and reporting will go along with youth. Before entering the program students will get support within cultural, language and pedagogical preparation. After completing practical the Tebusy from photography class will be able to prepare reportage on the given subject, archive photographic records, make a presentation, use the computer program in order to join the photos in panorama, edit, update and archive Internet multimedia project, as well as use professional English on better level. Students form IT class will be able to install, update, develop and manage structures without data, prepare different programing environments and use them to create internet applications, use different programing languages to cooperation with Internet data base, and publish application files on remote servers. These abilities will be used by students to prepare photo exhibition and Internet site.Abilities gained during practical will help students to achieve better results during vocational exams. What’s more, higher language and cultural competences will enable them to take independent steps in learning, creating needs of self-realization, and improve qualification in following years. They also improve the level of professional language and European consciousness based on the need to long term learning in cooperation with other countries, and applying good practices. Moreover, the project participants will enhance their self-convenience, become more independent and creative. Project will be monitored systematically both, by sending organization (project coordinator and teachers going with students) and by host organization (Tellus coordinator and practical supervisors) by means of preparing documentation, controlling, reporting and supervising. The evaluation of the project will be done with using such tools as: surveys, talks and analyzing the documents, and reports and the conclusions will provide precious assistance in case of organizing mobility projects in future.Teaching staff of our school and the headmaster in particular will gain valuable experience in project management, which enables us to organize other projects for our students as well as for teachers. The importance of this project will be presented during its continuance, and also after completing it. In all information about school, on our website, in the leaflets, in presentations about our school, at meetings with the students from others school, Education Fairs and ‘Open Days’ we will underline participation in the project, and financial support we got. We expect to improve the image of our school in local community as additional benefit of sharing the results of our participation in practical. The ‘Tebusy’ taking part in the project will receive certificates and documents confirming their participation and involvement ((Europass CV, Europass Mobilność, Certyfikat ECVET), which make them more attractive on the job market. This certificate will show the abilities recognized not only in our country, but also abroad. European certificates gained by our students will help them to achieve their future employers’ recognition in Poland and abroad.
