Our project called “Autonomous Learning” will be carried out by 20 eachers in Netherland with the corporation of Eyyüp Göncü High School,Gazı High School and the Natİonal Education Directorship. Totaly 20 teachers will participate to the project and they will be chosen from different branches according t the certain criterias. In this way, we aim to progress without any problem and let the teachers to obtain from different branches. All of the our participants are young,ready to struggle with the problems of new educational system and enthusiastic about the new educational methods . The fundamental object of our project is to adapt “autonomous learning”into the education and use it as learning method. No project has been carried out about this subject before in this area. And we aim to deal with the educational system in a different way by this project. “Autonomous learnıng” is a learning style that gives the students chance to evaluate their own performence , choose appropriate materials,determine their learning aims and needs and be responsible for their own learning. By using “autonomous learning” students will be tought to take their own learning responsibility ,they will get the knowlegde of how to learn and make decisions about guiding his/her learning activity. Owing to “Autonomous Learnıng” students will turn into active learners who has the ability to make true decisions about their learning styles. Furthermore,with this learning style we aim to start an education that is far from theoretical and teacher centered learning. On the contrary, it will be based on the performance of the students at the end of the project we aim to inform not only the students but also the teacher in the city about the outputs of the projects by lectures, seminars, brochures and internet. In this way “Autonomous Learnıng” will not be limited in some area. Especially the trainee teachers will be informed about the autonomous learnıng at the beginning of the educational year. Briefly,during the project they will turn into students that are active,self esteemed,awared of his/her cognitive and affective features,be abled to choose materials according to his/her own learning style. At the end,it is aimed to popularize this learning system with some activities.
