Organization of Cross-border Expo and Training Sessions for the benefit of empowering SME's (ExpoTrain SME)

The BTC EGTC organization is unique in the area. In this project the GENERAL ENTREPRENEURS ASSOCIATION OF KANJIZA MUNICIPALITY is the right partner because their commitment has been proven towards the SMEs by their 100 years of existence. The long term overall aim of this project is the facilitation of the development of a harmonic and co-operating region with sustainable and safe environment. The project affects the small and medium-sized enterprises in the area, encourages them for co-operation, and gives an opportunity to exchange their well proven experiences. Professional expos help to the SMEs in the target areas to present themselves, and to expand and deepen their relationships. The uploading of additional data to the already existing SME database provides a more detailed database to the population. The institution visit gives a chance to hand over best-practices, gives an insight into the operation of different SMEs, showing the enterprises how they differ in operating in Serbia or Hungary, thus helping the ones in the region with new developments. By completing the training the knowledge of entrepreneurs expands, and new possibilities are opened for further developments. This program is an excellent opportunity for the catching up of enterprises along the border and to the more effective operation of the Serbian advocacy Achievements: The overall aim of this project was to facilitate the development of a harmonious and cooperative region with a sustainable and safe environment. The project reached out to the small- and medium-sized enterprises in the area, encouraging them to cooperate and providing them with an opportunity to exchange their experiences. The professional expos organised within the project helped the SMEs in the target area to present themselves and to expand and deepen the existing ties among them. The upgrade of the already existing SME database with additional and up-to-date data provided both SMEs and the general public with more specific information. During the project the participating SMEs visited one another, sharing best practices and gaining insight into the operations which manifested the differences between the Serbian and Hungarian business models. Based on this insight, the SMEs were able to start harmonising their business practices and learn from one another. By completing the training offered during this project, the entrepreneurs widened their knowledge and created new possibilities for further development. This project ensured more effective SME advocacy and proved to be an excellent opportunity for the enterprises operating along the border to intensify their cooperation.
