By the mobility project “Specialization on the Labour Market for the Future Banqueting Organizer” we consider that we will have the real opportunity to overcome the target and challenge of shifting the focus of vocational education from the theoretical dimension to the practical-forming one, in order to assure good training for the future technological secondary school graduates in direct connection with the requirements on the labour market in the field of tourism and foodservice by conducting practical training related to the specialized module in relevant establishments in Spain and Portugal, which have all the facilities and equipments necessary to conduct such activities and comply with the European legislation on food safety. In this respect, our project is based on the following general objective: Deepening and diversifying specialized training in direct connection with the competitive labour market in the field of tourism and foodservice in order to enhance the quality of education and training and for a better transition from school to an active life. The specific objectives of the project are: 1. Developing the students’ abilities and practical skills related to knowledge and performance of basic operations for obtaining food products and performing superior quality services. 2. Extending basic knowledge and skills regarding gastronomical principles, promoting activities of serving, organizing and coordinating protocol services. 3. Facilitating integration on the European labour market by contact with a new economical and social-cultural environment. 4. Developing a transnational partnership to support youth mobility and to enhance attractiveness and quality. 16 students from the 10th grade, level II qualification, Technological path, Services profile, qualification Banqueting Organizer, will participate in the mobility and will be selected from the target group formed of 25 students of our school. The project provides training on general technical skills and specialized technical skills set by the Standards of Professional Training for the module in the Framework Plan Order of the Ministry of Education no. 3081/2010 Annex 2 Qualification Banqueting Organizer. The planned duration of the mobility has been agreed with the receiving institution to 21 days, i.e. 90 hours. The main activities which are to be conducted in order to implement the project are: I. Drafting and designing the project application – contacting the receiving organizations and defining the partnership by signing the Memorandum of Understanding with clear definition of the role of each organization. II. Preparation of the agreement and the training. 1. Appointing the project management team. 2. Local and regional information campaign about the project and its opportunities. 3. Preparing the contract with the National Agency and signing it. 4. Selecting the participants. 5. Detailing the Training Agreement with the receiving organizations. 6. Organizing the preparation of the participants. 7. Making travel arrangements. III. The training IV. After training - Validation and recognition by the beneficiary organization of the results of the learning obtained through training, evaluated and validated according to the procedures for quality assurance and Romanian legislation order 4931/august 2008. - Designing the individual training report for each participant. - Making the final report - Dissemination of the project outcomes and of the measures to ensure its sustainability. The methodology will be based on: establishing clear roles within the partnership, by the “Memorandum of Understanding”, in the project managerial plan – with the description of the activities and processes necessary in order to attain the expected objectives and outcomes, drawing the financial and technical documentation. Expected results: developing, improving, deepening knowledge, skills, abilities of the participants in the fields of hygiene, occupational safety and environmental protection and teamwork skills – with a percent of 80% attested by initial, middle, final and post-training evaluation results as well as by the Europass certificate and awarding the corresponding credit points. After the training experience of the 16 participants, they can become “trainers” for their colleagues and they may bring value and professionalism in the activities they will have in future practical training sessions conducted in different local relevant organizations, increasing the chance to be hired and become active workforce on the Romanian and European labour market.
