The project aims to give young people a new opportunity to experience opera from the artistic creation to the backstage: Opera junior. Activities: performances, conferences, trainings. The common goal is to produce an opera writter exclusively for children with contemporary language, written by a young emergent composer and interpreted by young European artists. Opera will grow and flourish only thanks to the contribution of young people. Children become an aware and active audience. They will have to sing some short aire from the stalls, thus playing the ancient role of the Chorus. Before coming to the theatre, children will follow a training programme with their teachers so they can approach opera actively.The winner of the competition, will also have to translate the libretto. The Opera will be put on stage in a European tour.
