The Social Centre Jean Ferrat is a key player in local social development and education to citizenship. One of our aims is to encourage young people into active participation approach to develop their voluntary commitment and mobility. We would like to welcome today the first young EVS which embodies this idea of mobility among young people attending our structure and gives them the desire to go to other places in their turn. Accompanied by professionals of the structure, the volunteer will participate in various events and activities, but it will also have the time and the opportunity to realize their own ideas and initiatives with children and young people / their families. Through its interventions a special attention will be given to the following themes: European citizenship, active citizenship, intercultural. He will participate in the development of information sessions on European mobility within our structure or in partner organizations. Thanks to the presence of the first volunteer in our structure we plan to give more visibility to Erasmus + program and encourage mobility initiatives among the youth of our structure, encourage their involvement in a dynamic project and fight well against inequalities in access to mobility. We think in special of youth disengaged from conventional learning systems or those who are career difficulty.Through this hosting project we also plan to improve our practices concerning youth psychosocial skills (transfer Youthpass in our daily work with the youth of the structure). Methods used: participative methods aimed preparing the acquisition of skills for life and for active citizenship, methods of non-formal education based on experience and action from the needs of voluntary, self-assessment compared to the learning objectives of the volunteer himself, methods based on cooperation.
