PROJECT
FINISHED
We are developing this project idea to to promote well-being through environmental awareness methods, because there is a strong link between our own personal well-being and the state of the environment. We plan to motivate the participants to change their communities, by learning to organize environmental campaigns, developing a “culture of ecology”, by promoting active participation, respect towards nature and involvement in the community and in the environment. Our objectives will be: - raising environmental awareness in the local community through 3 public events in Iasi, organized by the 42 participants during the youth exchange- promoting the intellectual results of our project through social and mass media channels in the participants' local communities during and after the exchange- facilitating for the 42 participants the understanding of the concept of environmental well-being- facilitating for the 42 participants the learning of how to organize a public environmental campaign- organizing a social and traditional media public campaign about environmental well-being during the youth exchange and after- creating a network for future collaboration between participants in the field of environmental well-being (respecting the aim of the programme, to build networks of international contacts).Through these objectives we are seeking to influence and shape the behavior and the attitude of the participants and the local community in order to fight against the indifference towards the principles of sustainable living. From 11 to 19 August 2016, in Iasi, Romania, 42 participants will acquire practical and entrepreneurial skills related to environmental well-being (through creative approaches in sustainable lifestyles, reusing objects, recycling etc.) By accepting a more sustainable lifestyle and the connection to nature and the environment, they will acquire a sense of well-being. In a non-formal setting, through creative and experiential activities (environmental actions, workshops about sustainable development, environmental well-being, art workshops using recycled materials, creative problem solving exercises, cultural visits, debate sessions, field trips) the participants will have the opportunity of an unique learning experience. The learning methods will be non-formal: icebreakers, energizers, group discussions, brainstorming, debates, team building exercises, role playing, simulation games, flashmob, exhibitions.
