Project „Open the door” purpose is to give a chance for youth with limited opportunities, using informal experience and intercultural education, make experience, knowledge’s and practical skills by volunteering in other countries, working with disable people – adults and youth who have low social skills. Volunteer gives support by leading, making events and activities to help organization reach the goals by ideas and work. Project goal – fulfill one volunteer work activities. Estimated project timing: 07. 01. 2015. - 06. 07. 2016. In project involved volunteer activities timing is 12 month, 01.03.2015. - 28.02. 2016. At The project involved young people with fewer opportunities from Programme Country Spain, Canary Islands region. The volunteer is involved in all project period. For activity will be formuled work task and timing. Acidity Nr 1 will be at day center, where organized different activities and creative workshops for disable people in every age and for their family members and for youth with social and economical problems. Place for activity: At organization unit Day center, A. Kronvalda street 4, Sigulda. Working with volunteers will be used discussions, team / group work, debates, brainstorming, etc. non-formal education methods. Volunteer will get a new experience evaluating their abilities and insecurity in situations when need make a decisions, reckon with group wishes and opinions while in another country which is the basis of change itself. In project activities used participatory and human-centered approach which is realize involve volunteers and related with youth needs, ability and expectations and interests. Volunteer activities will promote his/her personal, social and professional skill development. Project countries.
