While living in a modern society, in Countries that have signed the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, acts of racial discrimination and prejudice against other nations are still frequent. It's important, therefore, sensitize people, especially young people, to accept and respect cultural diversity.
"Open Minds " is a youth cultural exchange project that had, among its most important objectives, that of "open minds" of young people, promote cultural diversity and respect for fundamental values for the construction of a healthy and united Europe: respect and brotherhood.
To achieve this goal we used non-formal methods such as workshops, brainstorming, round tables ...
At the end of the exchange, such as validation of learning outcomes, Youthpass was be released.
The project objectives were:
- Active citizenship of young people because they not only have reflected on this important issue, also for the EU, but they understood that even a small gesture they can "make a difference".
- Acceptance of cultural diversity, open-mindedness of young people and mutual understanding between young people from different countries.
