Therefore, youth work should be important contributor to social cohesion, inclusion and intercultural dialogue to create favourable conditions for cultural diversity. it is a crucial that youth field will create cohesive activities based on mutual tolerance and respect.The main aim of the project “Open minded” is to contribute to the raising awareness of different aspects of migration among youth and to develop strategies for the youth organizations in Europe for integration and inclusion of young people - immigrants into new societies and to help them re-integrate into their new homes. Profile:youth workers/leader, any workers with youthage 18+, gender balance, fewer opportunities) need of strengthening core competences of a youth worker, improve organizational support, broaden knowledge about aspects of migration, social inclusion - exclusion, human rights as a tool, youth work follow-up on migration issuesDescription of following topics :Migration: reasons, types, models, benefits, opportunities, issues, consequencesPolicy: approaches, strategies, decision-making activities, human rights tools, CoESociety: migrants - immigrants, inclusion, exclusion, majority, cross-communicationApproaches: human rights tools, Bennett´ s model of intercultural sensitivity, political approaches towards migration issuesIntercultural sharing: awareness of positive aspects of cultural diversity, promoting cultures for a local communityNetworking: cooperation, networking, contributions, engagement, capacity building, follow-up activities, stakeholders in youth work Field work: meeting the locals (youth, youth organizations, stakeholders, authorities), Cultural forumEvaluation: self-assessment, group feedback, Mandalas, Youthpass, Recommendations ERASMUS+: programme, recognition of NFEObjectives:- enhancing participants’ knowledge on present research and discourses regarding migration and human rights;-to exchange and analyse practice and experience, methodologies and approaches of youth work in the field of migration- to review the opportunities provided by Council of Europe in the field of migration and youth work- to improve youth workers´ skills in tackling migration and integration with youth- to develop an understanding of different aspects of migration and the relations in the context of class, race, etc. - to develop new projects related to integration of youth from immigrant background- to build new partnerships between participating organizations - to develop a European work programme of youth projects dedicated to migration at local/national or international level- to share realities of young people in migration and analyze causes and consequences of migrations;- to review national and international policies on Migrations and identifying entry points of youth organizations to influence decision-making processes- to develop competences in Migration issues in NFE- reflect on and discuss the situation from a human rights perspectiveNeeds:- to promote positive opportunities of migration and cultural diversity- to increase awareness of cultural diversity on EU - to promote acceptance, empathy, understanding, tolerance among people (migrants, immigrants, emigrants, minorities, majorities, organizations, etc.)- to encourage sharing know-how and best practices, ideas and materials among youth workers- to spread mediation as a successful conflict resolving methodMethodology:activities in NFE.: warm-ups, workshops, simulation, discussion, role-plays, icebreakers/ energizers, group work, learning-by-doing activities, presentations, group reflection, self-reflection, supplementary activities of the participants, etc.Results:- trained youth workers on aspects of migration, cultural diversity, social inclusion, cross-cultural communication, human rights, youth work- increased no of youth workers with developed competences- prevention techniques for cross-cultural communication barriers, mediatory for youth work- people´s ability to adapt cross-communication techniquesImpact:- youth work with minorities, immigrants, diff. backgrounds at local, regional and international level- intercultural sensitivity, social inclusion - cultural identity and congruityobjectives assumptions and interpretations related to cultural diversityBenefits:in migration, social inclusion, human rightsLess conflicts, prejudice among peopleintercultural education
