The project 'ONGI ETORRI EVS' is an EVS long-term project that aimes to provide an encounter with Europe, its cultural and linguistic diversity through the hosting of a young Serbian volunteer in a partner organisation of Pistes-Solidaires at the Basque Coast: the city of Hendaye, specifically in the municipal "sports" service, for a period of 12 months, hosting for the first time within the frame of the EVS projects. The volunteer of this project will develop animations of European citizenship education, mainly for youngsters: promoting European mobility, awareness, games, cultural and sports animations, animations on Europe in schools, events on Europe... These activities will take their methodology from participatory methods of non-formal education within the framework of an educational process of skills development. One of the main topic of this project is sports. The objectives of the project "ONGI ETORRI EVS '' include:-1) Add value and express European citizenship: This project aims to highlight the cultural diversity of Europe. The participant will contribute to the awareness of her own culture in another country (and vice versa). We want to facilitate the dialogue and exchange between citizens, regardless of the country they originate.- 2) Encourage entrepreneurship and promote volunteers' initiatives: Participation, creativity and entrepreneurship are key words for this project, to the extent that the participant will have the opportunity to join the existing activities at the host organizations as well as to take initiatives and to propose own activities.- 3) promote educational mobility in the département Pyrénées-Atlantiques (64): Continue the dynamics that we began to develop locally around EVS, so that the receiving of European volunteers will be a vector of development of European mobility and the civic engagement of our local youth. This EVS project fits into a global dynamic developed on a specific territory, includes a partner country of the Erasmus+ programme and is directly linked to the hosting of other volunteers. It gives the opportunity to the coordinated organisations to be supported in this initiative by an experienced organisation in this kind of project.
