ON-LINE. Learning to improve quality of life. New ways of access to multimedia learning for people with learning disabilities
Onlineis a learning-project andtries to develop a new learning culture especially for those young people, who have difficulties in learning.Onlinewill be offered a chance to use multimedia techniques without barriers. Onlinewill understand learning as part of life quality. This life quality must be fostered and deepened throughout their life – maybe, they need assistance or not.Online will be developed and evaluated t o g e t h e r w i t h t h i s “s p e c i a l l e a r n e r s”.table of content: • To understand learning as a process of one’s own activity and a self constructing process – to plan one’s own learning.• A new understanding of the SEN learner, who will more and more accept the responsibility for his own learning, but may need assistance.• A new understanding of the role of the teacher, who will be an adviser and a assistant, who accompanies learning.• Arranging new settings for learning, which help the student in his way of learning and make learning easier for him.• Besides the classical methods of learning there will be used new ways of study techniques: methods, which are self organized, which are computer assisted and if possible close to the working place.• Using new media in an innovative way (e.g. computer competence/basic skills for the target groups).Multiple learning • arrangements in different places for learning (adult learning centres, libraries, museums, virtual colleges)• Different social settings for learning (single learning, learning with partners and in groups, with the help of mentors and in tandems)• “Learning is a pleasure” – this will be the character of the learning atmosphere in combination with positive incentives for learning.
