The ON-LANG.NET project aims at developing an on-line evaluation model relating to language competence, in particular to modern foreign languages. The main aim of the project is the development of an innovative, foreign language, e-learning approach able to support evaluation by means of technological resources (TELL – Technology-Enhanced Language Learning) and the related testing of accreditable skills. The project will result in a multimedia platform whose educational core will comprise a series of tests developed by project partners according ot their own professional and cultural fields. Additionally, a virtual laboratory will be established providing users with a platform for communication and interaction. Target groups include teachers of foreign languages and technical subjects and all potential language learners, including disadvantaged groups, wishing to test their skills online. Dissemination will rely upon the creation of a dedicated project website, the publication of a regular newsletter and the hosting of project seminars and of a final project conference.
